About Me

My photo
What's up everyone?!?!?! My birth name is Elizabeth but most of my friends and family call me Liz. I'm from good old Iowa and have lived here all of my life. I am a very outgoing fun loving gal. I'm the type to be up for anything and i LOVE to laugh! My dream is to get my very own hog... not the animal hog but a Harley hog and I can now say that this dream has finally been achieved!!!! There is nothing like the feeling of hitting the pavement with the wind blowin' your hair a mess. You get to see and experience so much. No air condition, no radio, the wind in your hair, watch out for those bugs they can give ya a lil sting when they hit ya at 70mph. Elvis Presley once said Ambition is a dream with a V8 engine! I love that saying... Well stay tuned to hear some of my experiences and stories from the wide open highway! Always remember keep the paint up and the rubber down : )

***STURGIS***

If you didnt already know but Sturgis has started!!!! It started on Aug 9th and goes clear through Aug 15th i believe. 2 Awesome weeks of riding, drinking, meeting new people, and just enjoying the open road. Unfortunately I have never been and this year was unable to attend : ( My boyfriend his brother and a good friend all took off Wed evening after work and drove about halfway to Mitchell, SD stayed then got up and rode the rest of the way. They made it safe and are now all set up and having a blast i'm sure.
I hate to bring you all down but Tues night there were 4 guys coming back from Sturgis and were almost home and were all killed. It was a very tragic event! A truck crossed the cones in a construction zone and wiped them out. It just really rocks ya to the core when you hear of such tragedies as this one. I know it pry happens all the time but it is still hard to digest.
I do not tell you this to bring you down, I tell you this as a caution to motorcyclist and people driving vehicles too! Did you know that Sturgis, SD brings about a half a million people to the area? Can you imagine how many bikes are out on the road for these 2 weeks? You should always watch for bikes when operating a vehicle but for these 2 weeks every year please pay special attention! And bikers don't be stupid!!! Follow the rules of the road.
I dont know if you have ever heard of the saying "Loud Pipes Save Lives" but i am a firm believer in that. So just be aware of your surroundings while out on the open road and remember keep the paint up and the rubber down!
